JumpSuperCounter is a counter script which allows you to add a text counter to all your .shtml pages via SSI (server-side-includes) with minimum hassle.

It consists of only 1 single Perl script and once you set it up, you can add individual counters to all your .shtml pages without any further modifications! It's that simple!

Setup Instructions

Here's what you need to know to use this program.

1. Right-click and save the script (Save Link As...) as jumpsupercounter.cgi.

2. In your cgi-bin, create a new directory/folder called 'jumpcounter' and chmod it to 777. All the counter files will be automatically created and stored in this directory.

3. Upload the script into the 'cgi-bin/jumpcounter' directory you just created. Please remember to upload the script in ASCII mode, and chmod it to 755.

4. To place a counter on a .shtml page, simple copy and paste the following code to the location on the page where you would like the counter to appear:
   <!--#exec cgi="/cgi-bin/jumpcounter/jumpsupercounter.cgi"-->

5. If a counter-file for a .shtml page already exists, it will simply increment the number in this counter-file. If it doesn't exist, the script will automatically create it for you.
